Dear parents, I am a 25-year-old recent Master’s psychology graduate from Germany. Last year, I au paired in Australia, which I enjoyed so much that I would like to become an au pair again. I am interested in becoming an au pair in Norway, as I plan to seek employment in Norway in the future. I am dedicated to learning Norwegian and am eager to become immersed in Norwegian culture. I deeply value every child’s uniqueness and would be honoured to contribute positively to your child’s development, helping them become someone they feel proud and happy to be. I would also hope to be someone they can trust and turn to for comfort, support, and love. Not only would I do all I can to make your children feel safe, cared for, listened to, and appreciated, but also strive to provide your children with as much affection and attention as you do. Besides that, I would love to share lessons and values from my own journey with a young person who is just starting theirs. On top of that, I want to support you as parents by taking excellent care of your children in your absence. I am very reliable, so you can count on me to always be there and never be late. As I have lived independently overseas for several years now, I am highly self-sufficient and value cleanliness and tidiness. I am also good at communicating and adaptable to your family's routines, rules, and preferences. I am happy to help with light household chores, and I am able to drive as I possess both an Australian and German driving license. Beyond that, I am fully COVID-19 vaccinated and hold an Australian WWCC and a British DBS check. As a psychology graduate, I am very knowledgeable in how to lead a balanced, healthy, and happy life, both mentally and physically. I completed my Master's degree in Health Psychology at University College London and chose an elective related to diet and nutrition for health and sports. Moreover, in a module on young people's development and education, I was awarded a high distinction. In secondary school, I interned at a primary school, which I thoroughly enjoyed doing. Later on, I worked as a babysitter looking after three young children aged 0 to 5 and volunteered at a day care centre for children with special needs aged 5 to 10. Most recently, I was an au pair for a family with four children, aged 5 to 10, and volunteered for a charity supporting the academic and social development and well-being of young people from underrepresented groups. These experiences have led me to be more attentive, assertive, and patient, and I learnt how to communicate clearly, set limits, and stay calm in challenging moments. Above all, I enjoy creating memorable moments with children by playing fun games, going out, chatting, crafting, and storytelling. I love being a nanny as the kids also teach me how to be less worried and more open-minded and sincere, just the way they are. Thank you very much for your consideration. I would be delighted to become your new au pair to provide high-quality care for your children and become a part of your family. Yours sincerely, Anna
